The Relationships That Shape Us
Long before we understand ourselves through words, we understand ourselves through relationships.
What It's Like to Work With Rubynoor:
Rubynoor's approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded in the understanding that our struggles rarely develop in isolation. Drawing from attachment theory, family systems, interpersonal neurobiology, and trauma-informed care, she helps clients understand the deeper patterns that shape their emotions, relationships, and sense of self.
With warmth, curiosity, and thoughtful directness, Rubynoor creates a space where clients can safely explore the experiences that have influenced their lives while building practical tools for emotional regulation, communication, and lasting change. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" she approaches therapy with a different question: "What happened, and how has your story shaped the way you move through the world?"
Whether working with individuals, couples, families, or adolescents, Rubynoor believes therapy is not about assigning blame or fixing people. It is about understanding the patterns that once helped us survive, recognizing the strengths that have carried us this far, and creating new ways of relating that foster greater connection, resilience, and psychological well-being.
As her clinical work continues to evolve, Rubynoor remains committed to ongoing learning in trauma, attachment, neuroscience, relational therapies, and emerging approaches to healing. She believes effective therapy is rooted in both genuine human connection and evidence-informed practice.
A Commitment to Lifelong Learning
Rubynoor believes that meaningful therapy is built on both genuine human connection and a commitment to ongoing professional growth. As a Marriage & Family Therapist (Qualifying), she continues to deepen her understanding of attachment, trauma, neuroscience, psychopharmacology, addiction, and relational therapies through graduate training and continuing education.
She has a particular interest in the intersection of attachment science, interpersonal neurobiology, and emerging trauma treatments, including psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. This curiosity reflects her belief that effective therapy should remain grounded in both compassion and evolving clinical research.
While therapeutic approaches continue to evolve, one thing remains constant: every person's story deserves to be met with respect, curiosity, and care. Rubynoor strives to create a space where clients feel safe enough to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and move toward lasting change.
"Healing begins when we feel safe enough to understand the patterns that once protected us and courageous enough to create new ones."
It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they write the next chapter of their story.

Yes. Rubynoor has a particular clinical interest in working with individuals living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and those who identify with traits of BPD. Her approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and evidence-informed care, recognizing that every diagnosis has a story.
Rather than viewing BPD as defining who someone is, Rubynoor works collaboratively with clients to better understand patterns of emotional regulation, relationships, and coping that have developed over time. Drawing from trauma-informed, attachment-based, and systemic approaches, therapy focuses on increasing self-understanding, building emotional regulation skills, and fostering healthier, more secure relationships.

I view trauma through a relational and systemic lens, recognizing that many of the ways we cope today developed as adaptive responses to earlier experiences. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I find it more helpful to ask, "What happened, and how has your story shaped the way you move through the world?"
Drawing from attachment theory, family systems, interpersonal neurobiology, and trauma-informed care, we work together to understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building greater emotional regulation, resilience, and connection. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where healing can unfold at a pace that feels supportive and meaningful for you.
-
Absolutely. Rubynoor offers therapy in both English and Punjabi, allowing you to engage in therapy in the language that feels most natural and comfortable for you. Being able to express yourself in your preferred language can support deeper understanding, stronger connection, and a more meaningful therapeutic experience.

My approach is guided by the understanding that our experiences do not happen in isolation. The ways we relate to ourselves and others are shaped by our relationships, attachment experiences, family systems, and the environments in which we have grown.
Drawing from attachment theory, systemic therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, and trauma-informed care, I help clients understand the patterns that once served a protective purpose while supporting them in creating new ways of relating that foster greater safety, resilience, and connection. I believe effective therapy is built on both genuine human connection and evidence-informed practice, with every client's unique story at the centre of the work.
As a result, healing frequently happens in relationship too. Honest, accountable, and supportive relationships can provide opportunities to experience ourselves differently, develop new ways of relating, and practice showing up in ways that are more aligned with who we want to be. While awareness and acceptance are essential foundations, lasting change is often supported through accountability, practice, new experiences, and relationships that invite us to move beyond familiar patterns.
