Karen Bamford, RTCc, BBA (Hons)
Grief has a way of breaking people wide open. It is one of the most human experiences—universal, yet deeply personal. Whether it involves the loss of a loved one, a relationship, or a former version of oneself, grief touches every part of who we are. And yet, it can also serve as a powerful gateway to healing, clarity, and transformation.
It was through Karen’s own lived experience and healing journey that she was compelled to become a counsellor. Karen specializes in Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), integrating breathwork, mindfulness, and personalized self-care practices to support holistic, whole-person healing.
With a business degree and a career spanning multiple cities and industries—including 12 years in a police environment—Karen brings grounded, real-world insight to her therapeutic work. Karen believes healing begins when individuals feel seen, when their choices are honoured, and when they are supported in rewriting the stories that shape their lives.
Karen’s work is guided by openness, curiosity, and a strong belief that healing begins when we feel truly seen and heard. She creates a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their stories, rebuild trust in themselves, and take the next steps — finding their way, one choice at a time, with clarity and intention.
